Resources

This blog is based on the resources below. More will be added as I find them.

Technical linguistic publications

The Verbal Morphology of Kigiryama (1993) - Giryama Bible Translation & Literacy Project
High, low and in-between (2007) - Erez Volk - Masters Thesis
Bantu Noun-class Prefixes (using Giriama as an example) - Lecture course material from Out of Africa by Peter L. Patrick., University of Essex.

Dictionaries

Kigiryama-Kiswahili-Kizungu: a basic Giryama-Kiswahili and English dictionary (1999) - Iha, Samson and Stephen Nzomo (editors). This is only a dictionary from Giriama to English, not the other way around -  and many translations are missing entirely.

Giryama vocabulary and collections (1891) - W E Taylor

Publications in Giryama

Mavoyo ga Umwenga (1912) - The Book of Common Prayer
Extracts from the Gospel of Mark (for the English, see e.g. here)
Kilagane Kisha (2004) - The New Testament

Audio in Giryama

Numbers and colours - from Giryama school children
The Story of Jesus (dubbed into Giryama)
